How to Make Garlic Edamame
I love this stuff. Garlic edamame is a great snack! My husband loves going to sushi, and I don’t eat sushi, but I’ll go for the edamame.
Our local sushi place makes this amazing garlic edamame, and I wanted to make some of my own. I tried multiple different recipes and tweaked them all to perfection, and now I have this fantastic and genuinely tested (lots of times) foolproof recipe.
I wanted to share it with you because of how easy it is, and it’s not bad for you!
Garlic Edamame Ingredients
- 1 lb 1 Bag of Frozen Edamame
- 3 tbsp Minced Garlic
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Water
- 1/2 tsp Corn Starch
- 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- Red pepper flakes, if you want
Cooking Instructions
- Mix the minced garlic, soy sauce, sugar, and water. Set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a medium-sized pan.
- Add in the garlic. Cook for 2 minutes, longer if you like the garlic crispy
- Add the sauce mix and stir.
- Immediately add the edamame in and stir.
- Cook with a lid on for 10 minutes. Stirring occasionally
This dish is also nice because it saves and is as good as leftovers. I was initially worried because we had so much excess, but it tasted just as cooked and warmed up in the microwave.
Air Fryer Garlic Edamame
I have tried this recipe in the air fryer, and it comes out close, but you have to watch it and flip them often, so they don’t burn. I do 350 for 12 minutes, but you have to flip them often, and they turn out good.
